Website design and development that brings in enquiries

Your website is often where a buyer checks you out first. We design and build websites for businesses in the UK and the US that are fast, easy to use and easy to find, by people and by the AI assistants they now ask. Every site has a fixed price, you own it, and we can look after it afterwards.

What we build

New websites

Designed around your customers and what you want them to do, and shown in your own branding before you commit.

Redesigns

A new design for content that still works, or a fresh start if the business has changed. We’ll tell you which.

Landing pages and scorecards

Campaign pages with one job, and quizzes that turn visitors into qualified enquiries.

Live listings and feeds

Listings or news fed in from the systems you already use, in every language your buyers speak.

Enquiries that reach your team

Forms that feed your CRM, and AI that sorts enquiries and drafts replies for your team to send.

Hosting and care

We host the site, keep it fast and up to date, and make changes when you need them.

Websites we’ve built

Four projects, described without the clients’ names.

Local search

A local-search programme for a security installer

A page for each town the installer covers, so people searching nearby find a page written for their area.

Live listings

A trilingual estate-agency website on the Costa del Sol

Three languages, live listings from the agency’s property CRM through a serverless feed, and a buyer-profile quiz.

Live listings

A Scottish letting agent’s website

Live listings, location pages and two landlord quizzes.

Automation

A club website that posts itself

The club’s Facebook posts publish to its website automatically, so news only goes up once.

How a website project runs

  1. See designs first

    We show you designs in your own branding before you commit to anything.

  2. A fixed price

    Agreed in writing before we start, so there’s no hourly billing.

    From £2,500
  3. Build and content

    We build the site and write or move your content. You see working pages every two weeks.

  4. Launch with redirects

    Every old address points to its new page from the day you go live, and we watch Search Console while things settle.

  5. Handover or care plan

    Documentation and a walkthrough for your team, or a care plan and we look after it.

What a website price includes

Every website gets a fixed quote in writing, listing the pages, the features and the design rounds included. Every quote covers:

  • designs in your own branding before you commit;
  • the build, tested on real phones and browsers;
  • your content, written by us or moved from your old site;
  • accessibility to WCAG 2.2 AA, so the site works with a keyboard, a screen reader and one thumb;
  • clean HTML, structured data, a sitemap and the metadata that search engines and AI tools read;
  • a redirect for every old address, if you’re replacing a site;
  • analytics and Search Console set up, so you can see which pages bring enquiries;
  • a walkthrough and documentation at handover.

You own the website: the code, the design files, the content and the domain. We host it on AWS, in your account or ours, and you can take it to another developer whenever you like.

Redesigning the site you have

Sometimes the content is fine and the design is tired. Sometimes the business has changed. If your content still works, we give it a new design and structure. If the site is old and slow underneath, starting again is often quicker and cheaper, and we move across what’s worth keeping.

To protect the search history your site has built up, we map every old address to its new page, set up permanent (301) redirects on the server and submit the new sitemap. Rankings can still move for a few weeks or more, as Google’s site-move guide says to expect, so we watch Search Console until they settle.

Landing pages and scorecards

You’re paying to bring people to your website, so give them one clear thing to do when they arrive. A good landing page matches what the ad or email promised, shows real proof, and has one button and a short form that works on a phone. We track what it brings in, test changes against each other and keep the ones that work.

A scorecard asks visitors a few questions and gives them a result written for them, such as a 12-question operating scorecard. They get something useful straight away, and you get an enquiry that already tells you what they need. We build them on a template we’ve used for several brands.

Speed you can check

Sites slow down over time: more pages, bigger images, another plugin. We find what’s slowing yours down and fix it one change at a time, testing after each. If a rebuild would be better value, we’ll tell you.

You get the Lighthouse report from before and after. But Google judges speed on real visitors, not on a lab score. So 28 days after the changes go live, we also check your real visitors’ Core Web Vitals in Search Console, where there’s enough traffic for Google to report them. Good scores help, but they don’t guarantee top rankings.

Found in search and in AI answers

More people now ask an AI assistant before they search. Those assistants reward the same things as ordinary search, so there’s no separate AI SEO to buy and no need for special files such as llms.txt. We build every site to these four questions, and we can check yours against them.

Can it be read?

Access for search and AI search crawlers (training crawlers are your choice), robots.txt, speed, clean HTML and sitemaps.

Can it be understood?

Structured data, headings and clear answers to the questions your buyers ask.

Can it be quoted?

Facts stated plainly in the page text, not in tabs or PDFs, and the same everywhere.

Is it found?

Google and Bing rankings, the Search Console setting for AI answers, Bing’s AI Performance report, and regular checks of what AI assistants say about you.

An audit of a B2B software vendor’s website

Every link from the homepage was followed, and the audit found pages in the sitemap that no other page linked to. Checkers then re-tested every finding, correcting the ones that needed it, before the ranked three-month plan was written.

Hosting and care plans

We host and look after your site, and you can still edit it yourself. The sites are static: built in advance, with no database and no plugins, so there’s far less to attack or patch.

Hosting on AWS

Served by S3 and CloudFront from locations close to your visitors.

Monitoring

Automated checks tell us when something goes wrong, and we fix it in UK working hours.

Security

HTTPS everywhere, security headers set, no plugins to patch.

Updates

We keep the site and the tools behind it up to date, so nothing quietly breaks.

Edit it yourself

An editor made for your site’s own pages, for text, images and news.

Changes when you need them

Phone or email us, and we make the change.

Questions

How much does a website cost?

From £2,500, depending on the pages and features you need. You get a fixed price in writing before we start, so there’s no hourly billing. Hosting and care plans are priced separately.

How long does a website take?

We agree the timeline with your fixed price, before any work starts. If something would push it back, you hear about it straight away.

How soon will we see results?

Speed and the experience on a phone improve from launch day. Search rankings take longer: weeks for existing pages, months for new content.

Can you guarantee we’ll appear in ChatGPT or Google’s AI answers?

No one can. We can make your site much easier to find, read and quote, and measure what changes. Google says you don’t need new machine-readable files, AI text files or markup to appear in its AI answers.

Will it work with our CRM?

If your CRM or booking system has an API or a feed, almost certainly. Enquiries can go straight into it, and listings can come out of it onto your site. Tell us which one you use.

Tell us what you want your website to do.

We’ll come back with a fixed price, a timeline and an honest answer about whether we’re the right fit.
